Recommended Reading
I am always looking to learn and improve so I read a TON of business books. It is said that the top CEO's in America read an average of 60 books a year (more than 1 a week) and attend 6 seminars a year while the average American reads 1 book per year. I believe success and continuous education have a direct correlation. That being said I am NOT a fan of the books you will find at your school's book store and from my experience in college they were dry, boring, dated and I didn't learn much from them. That is why I would like to list my favorite books below that I have got the most out of since I started my business. These are all good reads, to the point, and you learn very applicable concepts from them!
The Compound Effect- Darren Hardy
I don't care if your in business. This is a must read to anyone looking to better themselves. I've been using the "Weekly Rhytem Register" recommended in this book to track my goals over the last month and I have seen a large increase in my health, business and number of clients signed. Darren Hardy, publisher of Success Magazine, gives a lot of tips and routines to better yourself. Apply just 1 of them and this quick read is well worth reading.
10X Rule- Grant Cardone
Grant Cardone is the man! Brash and entertaining this book is about getting shit done and getting the most out of life. Grant shares a lot of great theories and concepts about how to stand out from the pack and be successful in business and life.
The MacKay MBA of Selling- Harvey MacKay
Don't be fooled by this guy's appearance (yes he is really that old), Harvey MacKay is up on his game. This book shares a ton of great sales networking and even social media strategies. Highly recommended to anyone in sales. And everyone is really in sales because you at least have to sell yourself...
